Chapter 10 discusses various stylistic devices that can be used to enhance speeches. For this discussion, select a speech based on its use of:

alliteration

personification

parallelism

When you have selected a speech (or part of a speech), answer these questions:

1.  What is noteworthy about the language choices?

2.  Do the language choices work well considering the context and exigencies? (You may have to guess if the context is unknown.)

3.  What stylistic devices are used?

4.  How and with what effect?
