Machiavelli’s two best known works are The Prince and Discourses. Each offers good insight into the philosophy of Machiavelli. Based on these readings, in securing the state, to what extent should a prince (leader) be motivated by the happiness of the people? Creative Teaching: Designing Culturally Relevant Instruction
For the Final Project, you will assume the role of a classroom teacher applying for a $10,000 Teacher Creativity Fellowship Grant. This award provides financial resources to teachers, which allows the recipient to spend time during the summer months developing an instructional experience that will be implemented and evaluated during the upcoming fall semester. These instructional experiences could include large projects, field trips, or simply improved daily or weekly lessons. This year’s grant recipients are awarded funding on the condition they develop instructional experiences and programs to support the learning of 21st century skills, specifically, creative and innovative skills.
A good example of this type of award competition in the real world is the Teacher Creativity Fellowship. Spend some time reviewing the information provided at this site to get a better understanding of a teacher grant request for proposal (RFP). 
To further structure and define your Final Project, imagine you teach in a culturally diverse school, and you recognize a need to develop more culturally relevant instructional experiences that promote creative and innovative thinking. After carefully examining the information in the request for proposal for the grant described above, you realize the funding awards are based on the clarity and details of a form submitted for evaluation. After careful deliberation, you decide to apply for the grant to finance your time and help you obtain the resources needed to develop the proposed instructional experiences. Keep in mind that a primary component of your plan requires consideration of the culture and specific needs of each child enrolled in your class (or one of your classes) for the upcoming semester. 
Writing the Final Project
Create your Final Project to meet the content and written communication expectations below. The content expectations include the seven parts of the request for proposal. The following seven sections should be used as headings within your paper.

The song Grateful Dead- Sugar Magnolia

I choose this song from the list of lesson#5. However, the reason why this song stands out to me is because of its melody. Contrast to other songs, this song’s melody is much more soft, and it’s comfortable for me to hear. The song starts with the sounds of the drums, the guitar, and the bass. The timbre of the band is bright and filled with emotion, and the tempo is slow. The drum’s sound is obstinate, and the bass’ sound is riff. The melody of the song is warm and soothing, and the texture is thin. Nonetheless, after Googling the meaning of the lyrics, i find that the line”jump like a Willys in four- wheel drive” refers to the model of jeep manufactured by Willys-Overland Motors. On the other hand, someone said that meaning of the song was about the love and appreciation of nature, and how it infuses us in a wonderful way, it restores and reconnects us.

However, the song is groovy, and the melody is awesome. And if you are still wondering which song to choose, I highly recommend you to listen to this song.

Hello my name is Alexis Molina. I would like to serve the student body as Historian. I believe that I would be a good historian because I am a very organized, responsible, and enthusiastic person that has a positive attitude at every given moment. In formulating analysis essays, a writer either focuses on one specific example or uses several examples in explaining the central idea.

Purpose: The writer of an analysis essay uses examples to explain a point and/or topic to the reader. For this assignment you will write an analysis essay that follows the five-paragraph essay format on one of the essay topics listed below.

Format: Your five-paragraph essay must contain a concrete closed (parallel, three-point) thesis statement at the end of the first paragraph and follow the MLA guidelines. Differences between community policing and traditional policing is a long-term process which has involved fundamental institutional changes. Traditional policing differed from community policing in that it focused more on solving and fighting crimes with the other focusing more on problem-solving approaches. Their efficiency was measured in terms of detection and arrest rates as opposed to the absence of crimes and public disorder in community policing (Oliver, 2008). Traditional policing policies focused more on high priorities which were crimes that had high value such as bank crimes, and those involving violence. On the other hand, community policing is concerned with crimes that disturb the community most.

  Community policing guarantees an expansion of the professional role which will be tempting to many police officers. It will also require testing with extensive changes in the way in which officers & their departments think about & organize their work. A successful transition to community policing requires essential changes both in the way officers are encouraged to think about their work & in the way that work is organized & facilitated by administrative superiors. Because changes in philosophy & organization are key elements in the transition to community policing, it is appropriate to start to evaluate these efforts by focusing on the subjective orientation of participating officers.

Community based policing has emerged as a dominant direction for thinking about police practice. It was designed to reunite the police with the community and enable the accomplishment of crime control by the police. It has been applied variously by police departments and has differed according to the needs of communities, politics and resources available. Its transformation therefore has gone beyond mere police-community relation programs attempting to address crime controls through partnering with communities.

This transformation has involved institutional change over time by going beyond implementation of neighborhood patrols for example. It therefore defines roles of an officer on the beat, from that of a crime fighter to a problem solver. The transformation has seen entire departments decentralized in their structures and infusion of changes in the management and administration styles in areas like recruitment, training, evaluation, reward system, career progression, operations, patrolling and related activities (Innes, 2010).

  All these have impacted positively with the two sides working together in identification of problems affecting communities and formulating solutions. This has seen a radical departure from the traditional era of “professionalism” in policing where the police claimed monopoly of crime control responsibility discouraging involvement of the citizenly in police matters.
