Food Intake, health and medical assignment help

List your food intake for three full days

Write a paper of at least 750 words that addresses the following points about your 3-day food intake:

  • Recorded intake of protein, carbohydrates, and lipids
  • Which foods in your recorded daily intake provide protein? Which provide carbohydrates? Which provide lipids?
  • Review how your recorded protein, carbohydrate, and lipid intake compares with the recommendations of the dietary reference intake. If your recorded protein-carbohydrate-fat intake was too high or too low, which foods might you add or remove to achieve your goal and keep other nutrients in balance?
  • Is the protein in each food you ate complete or incomplete, combining to become complementary? Why is this important?
  • How much of your daily recommended protein, carbohydrates, and lipid intake did you achieve? If your macronutrient intake is insufficient or excessive, what might you do to bring it into the recommended range? Provide specific recommendations.
  • Macronutrient intake ranges
    • Is macronutrient intake within the recommended range important? What are the effects of too much or too little of a macronutrient? What happens if you consistently eat too little protein? What happens if you eat too few carbohydrates? What happens if you eat too few lipids?
  • Fiber intake ranges
    • Does your fiber total meet 100% of the recommendation for you as calculated at iProfile®?
    • Does your diet meet the minimum number of servings of foods from each fiber-containing group? If not, which of the fiber-containing groups–fruits and vegetables–fell short of the recommended intake?
    • Which specific foods provide the most fiber in your meals? Which provide the least? Identify trends in your food choices that might affect your fiber intakes.
  • Dietary modifications
    • What changes might you make to increase the fiber in your diet?
    • How might insufficient or excessive amounts of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, or fiber contribute to health or illness? Provide examples.
    • What have you learned about your diet?

burnout and nurses, health and medicine homework help

Note : my topic is burnout and nurses

  • Choose a topic of interest to you that is a significant clinical nursing issue. Please note that the databases you identify could be useful sources of information for your Capstone project in NR451, so choose your topic thoughtfully.
  • Download the NR439_Research_Database_Form from Doc Sharing and type information about each database directly onto the form. Your paper does NOT need to follow APA formatting; however, you are expected to use correct grammar, spelling, syntax, and write in complete sentences.
  • Save the file by clicking Save as and adding your last name, e.g., NR439_Research Database_Smith.docx.
  • Describe your topic of interest. This is worth 15 points.
  • Locate a total of five research databases related to your topic. Each research database description is worth 30 points. You may search for these in various locations, e.g., the Internet or the CCN Library. You may NOT choose the databases that are already familiar to you – MEDLINE, PUBMED (which also indexes MEDLINE), GOOGLE SCHOLAR, and CINAHL. Instead, you are expected to expand your knowledge of evidence-based sources. Places to help you begin include your textbook, which lists databases and websites that report research. The Chamberlain online library (http://library.chamberlain.edu) gives you access to several databases and provide tutorials for searching. Government sites such as those at the National Institutes of Health offer collections of research on a variety of subjects. The key to choosing the databases is that each contains research-based evidence that also pertains to your topic of interest. Again you are looking for new databases to use in the future and not articles related to your nursing clinical issue.
  • Review each database to gather information to create a description for the assignment. Each description must:
    • identify the title of the research database;
    • describe the location of the research database in a way that a reader could find it. This should be the URL. This URL should take you to the home page of the database.
    • name owner or publisher of the source;
    • describe the research database. This must be in your own words and not copied and pasted from the original source. Include the purpose of the database and the subject matter it covers. This may be two to three sentences; and
    • explain how the research found in the database relates to your topic of interest. This may be a two or three sentences.
  • Submit to the Research Database basket in the Dropbox by 11:59 p.m. MT Sunday at the end of Week 3. Please post question about this paper in the Q & A Forum.

Primary energy needs for households

The majority of the current domestic heat production is made by household boilers, whereas the electricity is produced in large power plants. We call this the reference situation. The reference boiler efficiency is 90% and the electricity is produced in a natural gas fired power plant with an efficiency of 40%. LHV Natural gas = 31.9 MJ/m3. An average household consumes about 3100kWh and 2200m3 gas a year.

a) How much primary energy is needed in the reference situation for an average household per year?

Besides the boiler and power plants, other technologies are available for the production of heat and/or electricity. Consider the following options:

1. Micro-cogeneration by small gas engines like a Stirling-engine. The electrical efficiency of these engines is 15%. The heat efficiency is 75%.

2. Heat pumps, with a COP (coeffiecient of performance) of 4.

b) How much primary energy is needed in these two options and how much is saved per option? So which option is the best from an energy perspective? Assume that excess electricity can be sold back to the grid and additional electricity can be purchased from the grid.

MN502 Final Presentation, Theorist, Model, Philosophy, health and medicine homework help

In Unit 9, you will present your philosophy of nursing. The presentation should include the meta-paradigms and other key components learned in the course. Your presentation should bring together the theory that best fits your concept of advance practice nursing, the model that you will use to translate this into practice, and your final philosophy of advance practice nursing related to your role after graduation. Unit 9 assignment is not an “add-on” of Unit 3 assignment.

Be sure to read directions for Unit 9 Assignment carefully.

Bringing It All Together

This Assignment addresses this course outcome:

MN502-4: Develop a philosophy that supports advanced nursing practice reflecting the values, beliefs, and cultural competencies relative to nursing practice, science, and theory.

Now that you have spent the last 8 weeks discussing theory development and exploring models and philosophies that guide advance practice nursing, it is time for you to put it all together. In this Assignment, you will create a presentation using any form of presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint®, Prezi™, Movenote™, Powtoons™, Slidedog™, and so on). Your presentation should bring together the theory that best fits your concept of advance practice nursing, the model that you will use to translate this into practice, and your final philosophy of advance practice nursing related to your role after graduation.

Please remember that your presentation should contain slides that have bullet points. The bullets should number no more than four to six per slide. The bullet point is not written as a complete sentence. It contains key words. You, as the presenter will explain in depth what each bullet point means in the audio portion of the presentation. Slides may contain graphics, but should be uncluttered. Background and font colors should be of sufficient contrast to make reading them easy on the eyes. Attention to colors should be paid so that a person who is colorblind can easily read the presentation.

Assignment Details

The presentation should consist of a series of slides that include:

  • Title Slide: A title slide that identifies the title of the presentation and name of the student.
  • Introduction Slide: An introduction slide that includes brief information about you and your program track. The slide should also explain to the audience the purpose of the presentation.
  • Model Slides: The third and fourth slides will address your chosen model. The bullet points should consist of the specific characteristics of the model. You will need at least one citation that identifies where the model came from. Your audio will expound upon the model and what the characteristics mean. The fourth slide should include why you chose the model and how you will apply it in practice.
  • Theory Slides: The next three slides will focus on your chosen theory. The first slide should present your theory and why you chose it. The next slide would present the key concepts of the theory and how it has been used to date in past research no older than 5 years ago. The third slide will discuss how you will use this theory in practice as an advance practice nurse upon graduation.
  • Philosophy Slide: The next area will consist of one slide that presents your philosophy of advance practice nursing in the post-graduate role you will assume. The philosophy statement will consist of one to three sentences that distill the essence of what you believe advance practice nursing is and your conception of nursing as a profession. It is written in the first person and present tense. It is a personal statement of your beliefs about the profession of nursing. This should present guiding statements for your future practice in the advanced practice role. An example of a philosophy statement might read this way: Advanced practice nursing takes the art and science of nursing to a level of “other” and “self” interacting together to reach a state of optimal wellness guided with compassion and love for the culture of the “other.”
  • Graphical Slide: The next-to-last slide will be a graphical representation of how the model, theory, and your philosophy fit together.
  • Conclusion Slide: The last slide will be a conclusion that brings together everything you have presented. It is not a summary that just reiterates what you presented. It is a judgment about what you presented and bring the audience home, ending the presentation on a positive note about the future.

You will need supporting citations for your theory and model slides, and possibly for your philosophy, as appropriate. You will include the citations where appropriate and your very last slide will be a reference slide.

The total slide count should not exceed 15 slides. This does not include the reference slide(s) or the title slide.

10 Strategic Points Qualitative Study Extraction

10 Strategic Points Quantitative Study Extraction

In the prospectus, proposal, and dissertation there are 10 strategic points that need to be clear, simple, correct, and aligned to ensure the research is doable, valuable, and credible. These points, which provide a guide or vision for the research, are present in almost any research study. The ability to identify these points is one of the first skills required in the creation of a viable doctoral dissertation. In this assignment, you will identify and evaluate 10 strategic points in a published quantitative research study.

General Requirements:

Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:

  • Review the Maring and Koblinsky article(ATTACHED).
  • Locate and download “Modified 10 Points Template.” (ATTACHED)
  • This assignment uses a rubric (ATTACHED). Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
  • APA style is required for this assignment.
  • You are required to submit this assignment to Turnitin.

Directions:

Using the “Modified 10 Points Template,” identify each of the 10 strategic points in this quantitative research study.

Complete the “Evaluation” section of the template by addressing the following questions 250-500 words) with regard to the 10 strategic points in the study:

  1. Discuss the key points in the literature review and how the author used this section to identify the gap or problem addressed in the study.
  2. Describe the variables under study and how they are a key component in this quantitative research study. You are not expected to understand the differences between variables at this point, but should be able to identify how they inform the problem, purpose, research questions and data collection instruments.
  3. Describe the problem and how it informed the research questions under study.
  4. Describe the quantitative design used and why it is appropriate for the identified problem and research questions. Support your response with a peer-reviewed citation from a research source.
  5. Assess the appropriateness of the instruments used to collect data and answer the research questions as well as to address the stated problem.

Discuss how the problem statement informed the development of the purpose statement in this study.

Titration Math

you titrate 5 ml of vinegar with NaOH. It takes 42.78mL of 0.1066NaOH. What is the concentration of the vinegar?

Commercial products sometimes express concentration of a solute in solution as percent (m/V). That is percent of mass of solute per 100 mL of solution. The concentration of acetic acid in vinegar is 5%, so it should have 5g of acetic per 100mL of vinegar. What is experimental percentage of acetic acid in previous question?

With the first half of the question, I thought I would use M1V1=M2V2, however I am not completely certain

I need this completed as soon as possible my other tutor fell through

Project: Construct a Geologic Time Scale

For this project you will construct your very own geologic time scale. Select ONE of the options below.

  1. Create a model of the geologic time scale by making clay art or by using other props (toy dinosaurs, etc). In your model, have objects or artwork that show a major event or life form from each eon, as well as from each of the twelve periods of the Phanerozoic Eon. (You will need to do some research on the twelve periods of the Phanerozoic.) Examples might include a clay volcano for the Hadean, a plastic toy fish for the Devonian Period (since fish dominated the Devonian), or a human doll for the Quaternary Period (since we now live in the Quaternary), etc.  Place them in order, with the earliest time on the far left and the most recent time on the far right. Record a video of your timeline or take pictures of the individual parts. With your model, include a written report of the item that you selected for each chunk of time and the time in history represented by each (252 mya, etc.). Submit your report and your pictures or movie for grading.
  2. Design a museum exhibit on the geologic time scale. Have a different room for each of the first three eons, and then a room for each of the twelve periods of the Phanerozoic Eon. Think of images that would be appropriate to represent each piece of time (volcanoes for the Hadean, dinosaurs for the Jurassic Period, etc.) You will need to do some research on the twelve periods of the Phanerozoic in order to know what to include for each of them. For grading, either submit a written description of what each room will look like or record a podcast that gives visitors to your museum a recorded tour. Your written description or podcast should include the name of each room, at least one image for each room (a total of fifteen rooms: first three eons and twelve periods of the Phanerozoic), the times in history when each occurred, and why you selected the image that you did.

A good website for conducting research on geologic time is the Tour of Geologic Time site, maintained by the University of California at Berkeley. You can also check out the PaleoMap Project  website, which has good descriptions of geologic time as well as animations that show the continents moving through time.

Save your file and submit it to the Project: Construct a Geologic Time Scale assignment link for grading. For more information on how this assignment will be graded, review the Project: Construct a Geologic Time Scale Rubric

who can help me to make the summary of the text thanks

1) People can use facial expressions, eye contact, gestures with their hands, posture and proximity to the other person.

2) People could be comforted non-verbally by a care practitioner smiling at them, making eye contact (in some cultures), by the care practitioner having their arms loose and leaning slightly towards them and making a judgement about how close to sit to the person.

3)Care practitioners use music, art and craft and drama-based activities to allow service users to express themselves and as a context for interaction and social mixing. This may be particularly useful for service users with mental health problems, learning difficulties or language difficulties.

4) In European cultures eye contact can be a way of showing interest in what someone is saying. However, in other cultures eye contact may be a sign of disrespect. Similarly, physical closeness may be interpreted differently by people of different cultures. People of Mediterranean countries, the Middle East and South America tend to touch more and need less personal space. People from Western European and Scandinavian countries are more reserved and prefer only formal touching and plenty of personal space.

Rubric:
For more rubric information please see grading rubric titled “case study” under the Rubric/ Grading Criteria tab.

This case takes a “horizontal” slice through a number of coexistent issues. As a result, the challenge is “knowing where to start” – just as it is in real organizations – and this requires detective work.To do this, simply identify all the issues presented within the case. At minimum 8 issues should be identified. They should be listed in bullet format, but in a well written paragraph. Please refer to the case study rubric for grading expectations.

Analysis:

Once the issues are identified, you can then began to to summarize the situation at Hefty based on the evidence in front of you. There are a number of issues in the case, but you should be able to focus them down to two key challenges which are highlighted in the case. This should be two- three well written paragraphs.

Discussion Questions:

1.How effective is the partnership between IT and the business at Hefty Hardware? Identify the shortcomings of both IT and the business.

2. Create a written plan for how IT and the business can work collaboratively to deliver the Savvy Store program successfully.

Both answers to the questions should be well written and well thought out. This should be two- three well written paragraphs for each question. Please submit the aforementioned assignment as ONE document. To help keep the various reporting and relationship roles straight, I have attached the organization chart.

Please follow this rubric for the case study.

In a 2-3 paragraph essay

Dark matter and dark energy are two of the biggest mysteries in science today. Although we don’t know what they are, scientists would not have added them to our models of the universe without strong evidence that they represent real phenomena (see the Hallmarks of Science). In a 2-3 paragraph essay, identify one piece of evidence for the existence of either dark matter or dark energy, and describe it in detail. Explain why the observations you have chosen are scientifically convincing evidence for the existence of dark matter or dark energy.

health and medical issues, assignment help

Hello, First of all, the attached file shows you exactly what my assignment is. ( the most important thing is that each essay does not need to be a long essay, so, as long as you answer the questions clearly, you are fine. even if it is one paragraph. the aim here is to answer the questions in this assignment which mean you can build essay by answering those questions. )

as you can see, the final examination in the attached file, there are 6 topics that we can write an essay separately in each topic.

so, After we decided which topic we need to write essay about, we then begin to write the thesis statement at the first essay + answering the questions in the beginning of this assignment that related to the selected topics.

————————————–

I do not need all of them!! the topics that I need to write about are the following:

1-Malnutrition ( short essay by answering the questions )

2-diabetes ( short essay by answering the questions )

3-Malaria ( short essay by answering the questions ).

4-Polio ( short essay by answering the questions )

—————————————-

each short essay has in the introduction ” a thesis statement” ( more information in the attached file ) and has to answer the following quistions:

1- Why this is a challenge (the topic )?

2- the causes contributing to it ( the topic )?

3- give a specific example ( the specific place or the nation or the specific location ” for example, malaria in Indonesia ” )

4- how this is has affected people in that specific area?

5- what the international community is doing to address this ( the topic )?

6- describe future challenges facing these efforts.

Important Note: again, it does not to be a long essay, if your answers are simple, short and clear, that would be fine. But, it should be clear written answers, not general answers or vague answers. So, short essay is enough as long as you have clear, specific , simple, short answers for each question.

when you write them, please, separate the four essays by line.

Electronic Health Records Acquisition, health and medical homework

Acquiring health information systems requires astute leadership. An acquisition is migrating from one system to another. The imposition and realization of applicable standards, system requirements, legalities, finances, human resources, and need must all be considered before an acquisition can be successfully executed. Review the case, Acquiring an EHR System, from pages 215-218 of your course text.  In a 300-word initial post, discuss the pros and cons of the case by addressing the following questions:

  • Discuss the main concept(s) of the case.
  • Discuss personnel(s) who was/were involved in the acquisition.
  • Discuss the system(s) that was/were acquired.
  • Highlight the positives (pros) of the acquisition.
  • Highlight the negatives (cons) of the acquisition.

Written Assignment: Biology and Technology in the Real World

1. Select one of the topics listed below.

2. Find at least two information sources related to the topic.

Write a 750-1500 word paper, excluding references and title page. You must read the information sources that you find and summarize the information in your own words, addressing each of the questions and expectations for your chosen topic. Extensive quotes from the article are discouraged. Use APA style for citing references.

 Topics (select one)

a) Genetically modified organisms (GMOs). What is the purpose genetic engineering of crop plants and domestic animals? Briefly explain how GMOs are created. What foods in your supermarket contain GMOs? Are foods that contain GMOs safe for human consumption? What types of regulations exist for these foods? Clearly explain your reasoning for each answer. The following website from FDA regarding GMO regulation may be helpful: http://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm352067.htm

b) Stem cells. Your friend had a spinal cord injury after a bad car accident. The medical team has decided that he is a good candidate for a clinical trial using stem cell therapy. Your friend has not had a biology course since high school, so you decide to write him a letter sharing your knowledge of stem cells. Include in your letter a description of the biology of stem cells and how these cells are unique from other cells. Contrast the different types of stem cells, including pros and cons of each. Explain how stems cells are can be used to treat diseases and injury, with special focus on spinal cord injuries. Conclude with your own opinion. The following website from NIH regarding stem cell research will be very helpful: http://stemcells.nih.gov/index.asp.

c) Fracking (hydraulic fracturing) and tar sands (oil sands).  With society’s dependence on nonrenewable fossil fuels, the oil & gas industry is turning to the use of hydraulic fracturing and tar (oil) sands to extract natural gas and oil respectively.  A friend asks you “What’s all this controversy in the news about fracking and tar sands?”  Briefly explain to your friend how hydraulic fracturing and tar (oil) sands are used to obtain these fossil fuels. Then, in more detail, describe the environmental problems that may result from these processes and why they are controversial. Issues that may be addressed involves, but are not limited to, water, air and soil pollution, effects on human health, effects on other species and natural ecosystems. Finally, give your opinions on possible solutions to these environmental problems, with your reasoning backed by the references that you studied. The following websites from EPA may be helpful: http://www2.epa.gov/hydraulicfracturing

*Recognize and explain how the scientific method is used to solve problems.

*Make observations and discriminate between scientific and pseudoscientific explanations.

*Weigh evidence and make decisions based on strengths and limitations of scientific knowledge and the scientific method.

Based on the video, environmental science homework help

View this 11 minute video at the link below about the mega fauna that existed in prehistoric California.

Write a 250 word summary, in a word document double-spaced, giving a description of what it must have been like living in California 20,000 years ago. What was the San Francisco Bay Area like at that time? What habitat would you use to describe the area? What animals did humans hunt? What predators did humans have to deal with? and finally what evidence did they present in the documentary that supports their conclusions?

enviromental lab

In this lab, you will determine how an invasive species—the zebra and quagga mussel—affects other species in the freshwater lake. Use the animation to help you come up with an answer to the following:

  • Why do you see increases and decreases in the invasive species population?
  • What are the implications associated with these alterations to the ecosystem as a whole?

The Effects of Zebra and Quagga Mussels Introduced into a Freshwater Lake

As you have learned, population dynamics are caused by the biotic potential of the population and the effects of environmental resistance. When there is minimal environmental resistance impacting a population, it will exhibit a population explosion. One reason for minimal resistance could be factors that no longer regulate a population (e.g., predator decline or resource increases). Another reason for a population explosion is the introduction of an invasive species. Invasive species are species foreign to an ecosystem and are not immediately regulated by the environmental restraints of the particular ecosystem that they invade. This in turn allows their populations to grow seemingly uncontrolled and to displace other indigenous populations. Examples of such an invasive species into North America are dreissenid mussels, commonly known as zebra and quagga mussels. Their introduction into the Great Lakes has caused economic hardship and a reorganization of the ecosystem. This has led, in part, to pollution-causing effects that can be linked to an alga known as Cladophora.

Ecosystems are webs of intricately balanced interactions, what happens when a new species is introduced that uses a disproportionate share of the ecosystem’s resources?

What does the slope of a velocity (or speed) vs. time graph mean? Physics homework help

Compare the slope of the velocity-time graph to the average of all your acceleration values. Are they close? What does the slope of a velocity (or speed) vs. time graph mean? Explain the answer using your data. How does the value of g that you calculated compare to the accepted value of 9.80 m/s2? What is your percent error? Remember that the value of g can be calculated by using g = a/sinθ and percent error can be calculated using the following equation

the equation is % error= ((measured value-accepted value)/accepted value) x 100

I tried solving this but only got this:

% error= (0.1846 – 9.8)/9.8) x 100

I uploaded the data table from my experiment and i hope somone would lend me some help because ‘;m stuck!
