summary

a 1000 word condensation of its main ideas. your summary should be well-written, with care taken regarding spelling, punctuating, sentence form, and paragraph structure. you may wish to quote some passages briefly (up to 50 word) putting all quotations in quotation marks, of course. but take care to avoid simply stringing  together a series of lifted passages. your summary must be an actual digestion of the overall work written primarily in your own word.
