Levels of administrative units where statistically significant estimates can be made.

The assignment is to develop an evaluation design. Students may use the Yemen case study as the basis for the evaluation design. Alternatively, If the student has another project in mind, this can be discussed with instructors and if suitable may be used.

If using the Yemen case study, focus on Objective 5: Improve health & nutrition practices by families, supported by CHWs & other community members.

All students must choose at least 2 technical areas of focus. Evaluation can be pre-post-test without a control group.

The final assignment consists of the following parts:

· Final choice of project/program and technical areas for final project.

· Instructors must approve this choice.

· Submission of a first draft of the evaluation design annex of SMART objectives, target populations, indicators, sources of information.

· Instructors will provide feedback on the information provided by the student. This feedback must be incorporated into the draft evaluation design document.

· Submission of a draft evaluation design document including revisions based on feedback from instructors on the evaluation design annex.

· Instructors will provide feedback on this draft which must be incorporated into the final project submission.

· Submission of the final project (evaluation design)

The following is an outline for an evaluation design. For this class, please include details for all sections except those shaded in grey with blue italicized letters. They are beyond the scope of this course but must be included in actual evaluation designs.
