Bullying in the K-3 Classroom

Use at least 3 practicum hours to observe a classroom in the K‐3 setting and at least 1 practicum hour to discuss with the classroom teacher your observations.

Take note of bullying that takes place or potential bullying situations during your observation and how the classroom teacher responds. Discuss with the classroom teacher what he or she has done to foster a non‐bullying classroom environment.

In 500‐750‐words,

1. Summarize your observation. Do not include any identifying information about the children.
2. Summarize your discussion with the classroom teacher.
3. Explain what you learned from the observation and discussion and how that will affect your future classroom.
