Health Disparities Based on Socioeconomic Status
For this assignment, review the literature about child poverty in rich countries to develop an understanding of health disparities based on socioeconomic status. Then, address the following points:
- Describe the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the span and focus of the work underway.
- Describe the problem of lack of health care for children and propose some solution(s) to the problem.
- Based on this narrative, describe how you would evaluate a program, as a health care leader, to improve its delivery and efficiency in providing health care to children.
- Integrate other research and examples you have found on health care and children from other disciplines that provide excellent support for the discussion and your recommendations/solutions.
