Discuss the type of research that you think would be useful in the assessment of health care

services
delivery, outcomes, processes and measurements, based on the following scenarios:

• A
  
  physicians
  management company is interested in learning about what patients think about the quality of care they are receiving.
• Medicare
  
  is focused
  on payment based on outcomes (office visit results, # of patients successfully treated, etc.).
• The accountants and financial consultants want to determine if money is being spent wisely with the practice to avoid unnecessary losses.

For each of these groups, answer the following questions and describe what type of research approach would be applicable and why. Include in your response the answers from the questions below.

• What type of information is needed to effectively evaluate the practice and respond to these questions?
• How would you gather this data?
• What type of analysis would be most effective in yielding the data that is desired?
• How would concerns about privacy and confidentiality be handled?
• What would be the frequency for collecting this information and why?
