Review several of your classmates’ posts and respond to two who have posted how different ways communication affects behavior management or have different variables than you.  Compare and contrast your lists and suggest another important factor they may want to consider in their stated profession, and explain why.  Responses to classmates should be a minimum of 150-words.

Attached is my discussion post so you know how to respond to this response.

Do you think communication (oral and written) plays a role in behavior management? Yes, communication is the key to success. Lack of communication can cause a serious behavior management problem for teacher, parents, and students. You have to communicate to be successful in life.

What are three to four of the most important variables you will include in a management plan (classroom and/or type of supervision) in your future profession and explain why they are important to you? We must always remember that planning is the key. As a teacher, if I plan ahead of time this will have a great effect on instruction, my student’s behavior, and the relationship that are formed within my students. Content management is important on decision making and planning ahead. Putting down classroom rules will make the student aware of what I expect out of them. Paradoxes is important by rewarding, focus on rules, and also the punishment of not doing what is ask of each student. Personal and Parental Affect is getting to know each student by name. Knowing their parents name, phone number, and there work ethics can be very helpful in the classroom.

“McEwan’s (2000) view of classroom management encompasses a range of conditions from the interactions among and between students and the teacher, to the establishment, and reinforcement of rules, to the room arrangement, to students access to materials and resources and to the frequency of teacher interactions with parents.” (Hall, G.E., Quinn, L.F., and Gullnick, D.M. (2014) Introduction and Teaching: Making a difference in student learning. Chapter 12.2)

“Teachers need to demonstrate self-discipline and good manners-do not get angry, do not insult, no blistering language. His or her management plan is never sadist, he or she lives by the law of sympathy, even when challenged by children to defy it (Brunette, 2014).” www.files.eric.ed.gov/fultet/ED556703.PDF
