Read course pack chapter 11 School –Based and Community-Based Resource: Linkages and Referrals (course pack page 257–273). This chapter will give you a very good idea how and where you identify resources for students.
1. Identify the major adult agencies that may serve students with disabilities as they transition to adult life. Please think about one of your students and when he/she transition to adult, which adult agencies you would recommend to his/her?
2. Describe why it is important to refer students with disabilities to adult services as part of transition service. Discuss the benefits as well. For the student that you selected to address the first question, which adult services would you include as part of transition service and why.
