Unlike a dyad of two people, a small group consists of 3 to 8 (sometimes 12) people. Groups are assembled for a number of reasons (usually to achieve a particular task), with different kinds of leadership.

Answer both of the following questions:
1. Think of a situation or scenario in your life where a leader was either implied, emergent, or designated.
2. Sometimes you’re forced to be in a group with people you wouldn’t otherwise work with. In what ways would you encourage full participation in a group with varying levels of motivation/interest?
