For this assignment, you will apply the behavior modification model in this consulting scenario. Imagine that you were consulted by a day care center that reports problems at lunchtime. The center representative tells you that lunchtime follows outside play time. Children need to come inside, take off any extra layers of clothes they were wearing in the playground and put them away, wash hands, and sit at their proper places at the table. The school also requires children to clean up any spills they make and to be finished eating within 15 minutes. And of course, they want them to eat the food the school prepares! They report that they are having difficulty in getting children to the table, in dealing with disruptive behavior at the tables, having children eat the food, and having children finish in time to make it to the next activity.

Describe how the behavior modification approach would be applied in each of the phases of the diagnostic stage of consulting described in the text. Be sure to explain each phase, and then how you would apply the model you’ve chosen. Finally, search the literature to identify at least one other approach that could be applied to support change in this scenario. Describe that approach in a brief paragraph.
