3 short paragraphs (use templates)

Choose three (3) of the articles you annotated for Project #2. Using the templates provided in They Say/I Say Chapter 4, practice responding to these three articles.

You will write three paragraphs in total:

  • one paragraph that uses a “disagree – and explain why” template to respond to article #1
  • a second paragraph that uses an “agree – but with a difference” template to respond to article #2
  • a third paragraph that uses an “agree and disagree – at the same time” template to respond to article #3

In each of these paragraphs, I simply want you to practice developing your ideas about the topic, specifically in response to research (and arguments) that the authors of your sources have presented. So, the purpose of each paragraph is to respond to the article in some way (e.g. disagreement + explanation, agreement + clarification/suggestion/emphasis, disagreement + agreement) and to support your response with research, details, and explanations.
